My name is Val - living in the UK countryside, I'm surrounded by opportunities to explore and document the nature around me. I'm also surrounded by the visual sign of our impact on the environment.

I try to capture photographs which convey a message to the viewer, and hopefully spur them to action. This can be as simple as putting on their boots and realising the amazing wildlife we have on our doorstep - or it could be to challenge their views on a topic impacting the countryside.
